The loose leaf brews up a rich, malty cup, but I found it a bit too strong for my morning taste, even with a shorter steep. It is smooth and has that clean finish they mention, but I'd probably use it as a base for milk rather than drinking it straight.
The malty flavor is definitely there and it brews up a nice dark cup, though I found it a touch smoother than I usually like for a morning kick. It's a solid, clean loose leaf, but nothing that really wowed me over my usual go-to.
