I was skeptical that the scenting process would survive the journey, but the moment I opened the pouch, the jasmine aroma hit me, delicate and true. The buds are so tightly hand-rolled that they unfurl beautifully in the cup, giving a second and third steep that’s just as restorative as the first.
The hand-rolling makes all the difference—each pearl unfurls slowly and evenly, and just a teaspoon gives me a beautifully fragrant cup that stays smooth even as it cools.
The hand-rolling is what got me—each little pearl stays intact until it hits hot water, then those tender buds open up like a slow bloom. I’ve steeped it three times and the fragrance keeps coming, soft and floral without ever turning bitter. This is my new evening ritual.
